Today we decided to do some very heavy rack work, wanted to really hit my sticking point but at the same time not do full deads.
Nick Winters lifts and does what he calls "retarded" lifts. What he means is he adds soo much band tension it is stupid, so we figured we would give it a try.
Rack deads from 22" (weird sticking point I know, but I've taken 675 to this point easily, and not locked it out, the height puts the bar right at the top of my knee caps)
worked up in band tension until we had on the bar-(all short efs bands)yellow/black/silver/orange-should equal between 600-700 lbs at lockout
up to 225X1
then removed the orange
225X3
275X1
removed the silver
275X3
315X1
365X-/-
removed black
365X3
405X3
455X3
505X-/-
Pullups
intended to do a few sets but could hardly stand up straight. so one set of 5, then devoured about 1 lbs of steak.
